Chanel wandered onto a neighbor’s property in Marana, Arizona. Having several horses of her own, the neighbor called us to see if we could take her in.
Chanel had been bred year after year, and then her owner claimed she was useless and “no good”. Chanel is one of the hundreds of unwanted horses dumped in the Arizona desert.
Although quite shy, she allows us to care for her and she loves spending time with her corral mate Illusion. Chanel and Illusion are borderline laminitic and are on special dietary restrictions of soaked bermuda hay.
