Shikobah came to Equine Voices with three other orphaned Navajo foals in December of 2013. We helped bring them to safety after their mothers were rounded up and sent to slaughter.
Shikobah remains hesitant around people, but has very slowly warmed up to people as he gets older. Healing takes years, and trust takes a long time to rebuild once lost.
Shikobah enjoys the company of the other Navajo horses.
