Language is often thought of as the spoken word, but horses communicate primarily through body language. In fact, only about 10% of a horse’s communication is verbal—making the remaining 90% non-verbal communication especially important to understand.

Harley and Spitfire, Little Deuce’s previous herd, were integrated into the main herd two days before Little Deuce. During that time, Desert Breeze, an established member of the big herd, took Harley as her friend and they were immediately inseparable. Watch in the video as Little Deuce enters and struts his stuff then herds his former mate, Harley, into a corner with her new friend Desert Breeze. And Desert Breeze’s reaction at times is not friendly at all.
