Annabelle
Age: Less than a yearLess than a year Gender: Female
This is the heartbreaking story of Annabelle, who was found abandoned on a woman’s property. The offender literally backed up his truck and trailer, unloaded this sweet girl and had the audacity to wave as he drove away.
She has a severely injured back leg, likely due to an old injury that was never treated. She was seen by the vet and given several medications to treat her cellulitis. By the grace of God, there is no bone involvement.
She is several hundred pounds underweight and has been placed on a starvation bowl protocol as well as daily alfalfa and free feed bermuda.
Her medication and special feed alone will cost approximately $300 per month for the duration of her rehab, which will likely take several months.
A $50 monthly sponsorship will go a long way in helping this sweet girl back to her best self.
Sasha
Age: Less than a yearLess than a year Gender: Female
Sasha is a mini horse, that came to us with severe hoof deformity and was subsequently diagnosed with Laminitis. She was surrendered by her owner, that had a terminal health challenge in October.
Sasha is doing well on her new feed and medication regime. Her vet and farrier bills will continue to come in at approximately $300 per month, for her alone.
This is a huge financial undertaking. Becoming a $50 monthly sponsor will go a long way in getting her back to the best health.
Annie
Age: 15 years Gender: Female
Annie and her herd-mate, Sylvia, were surrendered back to us after being adopted out in 2012. Their owner was no longer able to care for them appropriately.
She is nearly unable to be handled, getting her in the trailer required a herculean effort by our crew. She will live out her days housed with Sylvia, Chief, and Gabe, who were all together at their previous owners home. The family reunion at their arrival was quite sweet.
Sylvia
Age: 22 years Gender: Female
Sylvia and her herd-mate were surrendered back to us after being adopted in 2012. The owners health had declined to the point that she was unable to care for them appropriately.
Sylvia is quite skittish, but would allow a halter and fly mask to be applied. Her weight is a little low, and her feet need attention. After a vet check, foot adjustment, and potential dental float, we have high hopes for this sweet girl!
She is housed with Gabe and Chief, who were surrendered by the same owner back in June of 2024.
Chief
Age: 2024 years Gender: Gelding
Chief was surrendered to us on June 9th, with his herd-mate Gabe, by his owner who had health concerns that resulted in an inability to care appropriately for them.
He is a good weight, with an easy temperament and willingness to halter.
He will be housed with Gabe at our Sanctuary.
Please help us by sponsoring!
Gabe
Age: 2024 years Gender: Gelding
Gabe was surrendered to us on June 9th, by an owner that could no longer appropriately care for him due to health concerns.
He is significantly underweight, and will be placed on a starvation bowl protocol to assist in getting him back to a healthy weight. His teeth were horribly neglected, which contributed to his weight loss. After a good dental float and his new diet, he now has the tools to thrive.
Please help support our efforts by Sponsoring!

In order for us to understand her true age and ailments, Adobe Veterinary arrived on May 15th to assess her condition.
