Good bye to a sweet horse
Mr. Bo Jangles
I wasn’t flashy, I wasn’t big, and I wasn’t mean. I wasn’t tall, like Gully, I wasn’t gorgeous, like Illusion, and I wasn’t a biter, like some in my group. What I was, was friendly, dependable, and a friend to all that I came in contact with. Equine Voices gave me a great home for more than six years – what I gave back was a “sure, I’ll do that if you want me to. Sure, that stall is fine, and yes, I would like you to walk me.” I wouldn’t kick you, I certainly wouldn’t kick your dog, and, oh yeah, thank you for doing my eyes. My last master wanted to end my life because I was going blind. You wanted to help me because I was going blind. My last caretaker was young and would have profited from my experience, but, alas, it wasn’t meant to be! So, instead I gave you my love and complete trust for many years, and even though I am now in greener pastures, I want you to know I appreciated you all. I had many good years, and like many others, sometimes the good die young. I had only two bad days in my whole life, and now I am resting, not too far from Big Bud. I want you all to know, the view from here is not too bad!
